Solution-focused hypnotherapy is an approach that has been proven to help with anxiety and/or depression. A typical session consists of:

  1. Understanding the Problem: We will have an initial consultation appointment where I will take time to being to understand your experiences of anxiety and/or depression. This may involve discussing symptoms, triggers, and the impact on daily life. I will also provide you with information about how the therapy sessions will work each week, including some really useful and enlightening information about how the brain works.

  1. Setting Goals: Together, we will establish clear, achievable goals for therapy. These goals focus on the your desired outcomes and what you want to achieve rather than solely on the problems you are facing.

  2. Utilizing Hypnosis: Hypnosis is used to induce a deeply relaxed state you. In this state, the your brain is more open to suggestion and imagery. I will provide suggestions related to the the goals we have previously agreed, helping to reframe negative thought patterns and promote relaxation. It should also be noted that it is a common myth that hypnotherapists can make people do silly or awful things. This is not the case, when under hypnosis, you will still be fully aware of what is going on and I won't be able to make you do anything that you don't want to do. 

  3. Promoting Positive Change: Solution-focused hypnotherapy emphasizes building on the your already strengths and resources rather than dwelling on problems. I will help you to identify and amplify moments when you have coped well or experienced positive emotions, reinforcing these experiences to create a more positive outlook.

  4. Encouraging Small Steps: The therapy encourages you to take small, manageable steps toward your goals between therapy sessions. These might include practicing relaxation techniques, challenging negative thoughts, or engaging in enjoyable activities.

  5. Measuring Progress: Progress is regularly reviewed, and adjustments are made as needed. You are also encouraged to reflect on any improvements you have noticed and to discuss any challenges you haveencountered.

  6. Building Resilience: Solution-focused hypnotherapy aims to build resilience and equip you with the skills you need to cope with future challenges independently. This might involve teaching stress management techniques, improving problem-solving skills, and fostering a more optimistic mindset.

  • Pay as you go sessions - £80 
  • Block of six sessons - £400 (buy five sessions get the sixth free)
