I personally value good quality supervision for my own counselling practice and always look forward to attending my supervision sessions each month. In fact, it is fair to say that I couldn't be without my supervision sessions each month. Therefore, I also ensure that I provide good quality supervision for not only (Trainee) counsellors/psychotherapists but other professionals who feel that they would benefit from clinical supervision to support their role.
I mainly provide supervision from a Person-Centered theoretical framework but I also have a variety of skills and knowledge in relation to other theories, modalities and practice.
I have provided nearly thousands of practice hours in my psychotherapy career and run a private practice based in Kettering where I provide psychotherapy for a variety of different presenting issues. I also have a specialist interest in providing psychotherapy for those who have chronic illness/chronic pain and those who have recovered from an addiction but are struggling to cope with life free from the addiction. I also provide relationship and couples psychotherapy from time to time.
I am also passionate about good quality training for potential counsellors/psychotherapists and so have set up the Northamptonshire Centre for Counselling Studies (NCCS) where I provide CPCAB counselling courses.
I believe that my roles of both psychotherapist and tutor encompasses all of the skills and qualities a counsellor/psychotherapist would be looking for in their Supervisor.
What does it cost?
- Qualified counsellors/psychotherapists /other professionals (individual) - £50 / hour (pro rata)
- Qualified counsellors/psychotherapists group supervision - £90 / hour divided by the number of people attending. If four people of less, half of the time of the session can be claimed towards supervision requirements. If more than four people, the time is divided equally between the number of group members.
- Trainee/ student counsellors/psychotherapists - £45 / hour (pro rata)
- Trainee counsellor/psychotherapists group supervision - £100/hour divided by the number of people attending. If four people or less, half of the time of the session can be claimed towards supervision requirements. If four or more people, the time is divided equally between the number of group members.
